Be in with a chance to win a pair of tickets to jump on board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) and join its 50th Golden Anniversary celebrations.
It’s full steam ahead on this heritage railway, and the prize includes two tickets for a return journey from any station between Pickering and Whitby. What’s more, kids travel free, meaning you can take the little ones for an immersive experience they’ll never forget too.
Explore 24 miles of Yorkshire’s amazing scenery and along the way, stop off at four heritage stations, including Goathland Station which became Hogsmeade Station in the first Harry Potter film, and visit the engine sheds at Grosmont to see how the team maintain and conserve our locomotives.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway was opened in 1973 by the Duchess of Kent. 1st May 2023 marks the 50th anniversary, which is a cause for celebration as it’s the most popular heritage railway, welcoming over 300,000 visitors every year. As well as attracting families and train enthusiasts, the NYMR has recently been used as a location for the latest films in the Mission: Impossible and Indiana Jones franchises!
It’s more than just a family outing. When visiting the NYMR, every penny spent on tickets, tea, cake and memorabilia goes back into funding to provide memorable experiences for visitors, fulfilment for volunteers and staff to ensure all charitable aims are being delivered. This means you’ll be contributing directly to the running of the NYMR as a dedicated charity.
This competition ends on 01/06/2023.
